Laura Dewell, Residential Corporate Chef
and Sales Support

Chef Dewell has
been working with Wood Stone since 2000. She has worked as an
off-site chef; cooking for trade shows, restaurant trainings and
Wood Stone test kitchen visits. Further, her many years of
experience teaching culinary students in the Seattle culinary
programs; for public cooking schools; and for private clients in
their homes, has given her a deep understanding of the needs of
Wood Stone’s residential clients.
Chef Laura
Dewell’s first restaurant, Pirosmani, brought her critical
acclaim (“The heart of any restaurant is its kitchen and the
soul of this domain is chef (and owner) Laura Dewell” –Seattle
Post-Intelligencer) and a national reputation (“Rising Star,
best New Restaurant 1992” –Bon Appetit Magazine cover story;
“Pirosmani may well be, Seattle’s most original restaurant”-San
Francisco Chronicle). Today Chef Dewell
is focusing on Wood Stone's residential program and is a Food Consultant in
the Seattle area.
Laura has a degree
in Psychology from the University of Oregon and a culinary
degree from The California Culinary Academy, in San Francisco.
She has lived and learned in the Soviet Union and traveled
throughout much of Western Europe and West Africa.
