Big Daddy’s Pizza – Sevierville, TN

Big Daddy’s pizza is scheduled to open this fall in Sevierville, TN. Dan Powers and Matt Rowe recently spent three days at the Wood Stone factory to learn more about their new wood-fired oven. Successful operators for over 20 years in Tennessee, they recognized the opportunity for great pizza in their region of the Smokey Mountains. New to pizza, they connected with Wood Stone to learn about great pizza, equipment and for the support to get their new concept off the ground.

Along with learning about their new oven they worked with a variety of dough recipes to determine what they liked best, from there it was producing the dough for three days, building and baking pizza for the staff at Wood Stone to get some feedback. Tough Crowd. Bottom line Big Daddy’s will be a winner and we are excited to partner with them on their new venture.

Wood Stone’s Annual Bass Tournament 2010

The annual Wood Stone Bass tournament took place at Lake Whatcom this year on Saturday, June 5th.

The winners for the Bass Tournament were Kurt Eickmeyer and Ben Otten. Incredibly, they took the prizes for Big Fish, Small Fish and Overall Poundage! The winners for 2nd place at the Bass Tournament were Dave Dement and Bryan Martens. The 3rd place winners were Chuck Rameau and Jana Logan. Thanks to those who worked so hard to make this event possible, and thanks to all who showed up to participate!
